This is the Role

As Account Manager you will protect current and develop new business in the EMEA region for Eastman Chemicals. Focused on Water Treatment and Specialty Additives customers, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing business at a diverse range of current accounts as well as identifying and closing new business opportunities with new and existing customers. You will actively seek collaboration with internal stakeholders to lead and drive growth projects.

In pursuit of the targets for growth, you identify current customers and prospects, preparing a Territory Management Plan to prioritize face-to-face meetings with key contacts from which sustainable relationships and business opportunities are developed and maintained. You will actively use our CRM (Salesforce.com) platform and seek collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Technology, Business and Marketing to lead and drive growth projects

You identify and interact with our direct customers and at other key points of the value chain. From these interactions, you discover unmet needs and match these with Eastman solutions. You will be traveling significantly (>50%) to meet and engage with existing and potential customers at all levels. Travel in Europe (mainly in Central-Western Europe) and occasionally to the US is expected.

Reporting to the EMEA Sales Manager, you will fulfil a key role within the Care Chemicals Business of Eastman Chemical. This position will be home office based but could be in one of our offices in Germany, Netherlands or Belgium.

This is who you are

You are a result oriented Sales professional with a relentless drive and a bias for action. As our customers first point of contact you will interface with different stakeholders and cultures. Furthermore, you bring a highly-developed commercial acumen, technical capabilities, contracting experience and strong communication and collaboration skills. Given the diversity of products being sold, you may have a generalist background familiar with selling a range of chemicals B2B in EMEA.

This is what you bring

  • BSc or MSc Chemistry or Chemical Engineering;
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales and marketing or technical experience selling to regional accounts, key multinationals and distributors;
  • Fluent communication skills in English, other European languages are helpful;
  • Proven track record in developing business.
