We are looking for an ambitious Process Engineer who is capable of optimising the use of process technologies in existing and new production facilities of AAK.

As Process Engineer, based in Zaandijk, you will be one of the team members of the Process Technology Systems team. The team members are based on several, European AAK sites. You are primarily responsible for ensuring and improving the efficient use of process technologies in existing and new production facilities, mainly in Europe but also globally. You will work with the team and local engineering groups to design and install new processing plants, modify existing plants, investigate improvements and perform benchmarks.
The projects you work on are very diverse; from large greenfield projects to small projects on existing installations, as well as troubleshooting. Depending on the project and location you will focus on the detailed engineering or supporting during project execution and commissioning.
- The Process Engineer we are looking for has a bachelor or master degree in chemical engineering or similar.
- You ideally have at least 5 years experience in process plant design, commissioning and optimisation. Experience in vegetable oil processing is an advantage.
- You have broad technical knowledge and are able to enter into the details as well as maintain the overview on the project, switching easily from concentrated abstract thinking to hands on troubleshooting. You are confident and able to work independently. Due to the different locations and cultures you need good communication and presentation skills.
- Obviously, you speak and write fluently English and are willing to travel on an extensive level (approximately 30%).
